The recovery of native organic substance (I), in the form of oils, fats and waxes and their derivs., from naturally occuring mixts. comprises a) adding at least one water-soluble organic solvent and opt. water to the finely comminuted starting material, to form an aq. broth; and b) sepg. the mixt. in a centrifugal field in a single step to give an aq. phase contg. the solid components and a liq. organic phase.
