V=Shaped clamp for plates esp. glass plates

The clamp consists of a metal bracket of V-shaped cross-section. A plastics insert is mounted inside the V-section and is held in place e.g. by protrusions (8) which engage with holes (7) in the metal part of the clamp. A spring strip (11) protrudes from the plastics insert from one of the legs of the V-shape. The spring strip can be in the form of a round bubble in which the air is compressed. Alternatively it can be in the form of a leaf spring or strips which bulge out inward.
