摘要 A camera system has a colour temperature sensor 71 for detecting the colour temperature of the external light. This information is used to produce a colour deviation compensation signal which is applied to a liquid crystal section 77 (also figs 8a and 8b). This section has light transmission control polarizing filters 78, 79 arranged perpendicular to each other. The liquid crystal section is designed, in the absence of a control signal, to turn the polarized plane of the incident light through 90 DEG so that nearly all the incident light is passed through the second filter 79. The colour deviation compensation signal alters the molecular orientation of this section so as to adjust the polarization of the light passing through and therefore the amount of light passing through the second filter 79. This modification of polarization alters the colour of the light recieved by the detector 73 and effects colour correction. <IMAGE>
