Power supply for sensors in cooking apparatus

A power supply for sensor systems in glass ceramic cooking panels, especially induction-heating ones, has a coil 11 in the base3 of the cooking apparatus1 which can supply sufficient power to the sensor electronics by induction. The coil has an iron core and is located near to a ferromagnetic plate 6 in the base. The plate has ferromagnetic noses 9 to guide the flux from the core. The coil is earthed on one side and the other side is connected to the electronics in the handle 2. The electronics comprises both sensors and evaluation units.
