PURPOSE:To provide an image pickup device system having an improved focusing control by always grasping the driving capacity of an interchangeable lens and predicting a driving time required for driving the lens, in view of such a problem that it is impossible to predict a lens driving time when a shutter is released in the case the lens is continuously driven without being stopped in a conventional way and also the prediction accuracy is reduced under a certain environmental condition as for the power supply voltage, the temperature and the attitude of a camera system at photographing. CONSTITUTION:The camera system is provided with the lens 1 constituted of the photographic lens 101, a lens driving part 103, a lens driving control part 104, a communicating means 105, a driving capacity data storing part 106 and a driving capacity data deciding part 107, and provided with a camera 2 constituted of a focus detecting part 205, a focusing control part 206 and an environmental condition detecting part 208. The driving capacity data under a certain environmental condition is decided so as to improve a focusing control performance. |
