PURPOSE:To provide a steam reforming method of hydrocarbons hardly depositing carbon and capable of operating economically even under an operating condition of low steam/carbon by using ruthenium catalyst. CONSTITUTION:The hydrocarbons are reformed with steam by using a catalyst which is produced by bringing a carrier into contact with an impregnating soln. consisting of an aq. soln. containing a ruthenium compd. and a zirconium compd. and having pH <=3, followed by drying and burning it. |
