摘要

PURPOSE:To enable color display of a liquid crystal display device having dispersion of a liquid crystal in a polymer material without using a color filter by coloring the polymer. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of transparent electrode 3 are formed corresponding to pixels on a transparent substrate 1 such as glass. The transparent electrode 3 consists of ITO or the like. Another transparent substrate 2 comprised of glass or the like which is same as the substrate 1 is disposed corresponding to the substrate 1. On the inner side of the substrate 2, a transparent electrode 4 such as ITO is formed. A liquid crystal polymer composite film 5 is disposed between the substrate 1 and the substrate 2. The liquid crystal polymer composite film 5 is produced by dispersing a liquid crystal 7 in a polymer material 6. By adding a dianthraquione pigment being a red pigment to the polymer material 6, the polymer material 6 is colored into red.
