<p>PURPOSE: To provide an electrical connector of board-mounting type which can be easily self-supported on a flange of a connector housing and be fixed into a fixing hole by a simple structure, and a board-mounting device which is installed on a flange of electronic parts, such as connectors. CONSTITUTION: A board-mounting device, that is, a board-mounting device 10 is constructed by having a pair of cantilever-shaped beams 18 extending from one end of a body part 12 to the other, and forming latch parts 30 on the inner surfaces, and barbs 26 on the outer surfaces of tip parts of the beams 18. This board-mounting device 10 is inserted and self-held in slots of a fixing post 50 which is formed on the flange of an electric connector housing and provided with a tapered rib 54 in the center of it. The barbs 26 of the beams 18 protrude sideward from the outer surfaces of the fixing post 50 and bite into the inner wall of a fixing hole 62 of a board 60.</p> |
