Safety goggles for use during heavy physical labour

The safety goggles comprise a sight piece and a frame with ventilation apertures provided therein for the interior space formed by the sight piece and the frame and the face of the wearer. The ventilation apertures are disposed in the lateral frame member such that the air coming from the outside is deviated towards the inside by way of a deflector. At least one such ventilation aperture is disposed in the area of transition where each lateral frame member passes into the upper and/or lower frame member. In the vicinity of the lateral frame members, narrow slitted ventilation apertures are additionally disposed in the area below the place where the head strap is fixed, their opening surface being approximately perpendicular to the viewing direction of the user.
