A closed container (50) made from at least one blank (20) of foldable material for the incineration of disposable articles, the container (50) being provided with means (25) permitting access to the interior of the container (50) for insertion of said disposable articles into the container (50), and substantially the whole of the inner surface of the container (50) being constituted by a relatively thin metallic layer (4).
