PURPOSE: To provide a method and a device for receiving data signals in a computer network such as a token ring network or the like. CONSTITUTION: This receiver of input digital data signals for indicating a series of values is constituted of a means 3 for sampling the samples of a data signal waveform for plural times during the periods of the respective values, a first memory 5 for storing the plural pieces of received samples at a series of address positions in a well known order, a phase detector 7 for withdrawing digital signals for indicating a phase difference between the input data signals and reference signals and the means 9 for decoding digital phase signals, accessing the address position of the memory indicated by the decoded digital phase signals and selecting the sample far from the edge of the input data signal waveform. |
