<p>PURPOSE:To reproduce a dynamic image recorded with a varied amount of coded data with a high image quality or for a long time by controlling data reading operation from a recording medium so that the coded data may not be deficient or destroyed on the way of reproduction of the dynamic image. CONSTITUTION:Dynamic image coded data recorded on an optical disk 52 variable in coded data quantity is varied for plural frames, are reproduced by the use of a data processing circuit 58 via an optical pickup 56 and a preamplifier 57. Furthermore, the circuit 58 separates reproduced data into coded data 59 and data transfer rate information 60, and a servo control circuit 53 controls a driving motor 54 according to the information 60 to make the data transfer rate constant. The data 59 are stored in a buffer memory 61, and are decoded through an image decoding circuit 62 and written in a frame memory 64 to become image data 63, which are sequentially read by a D/A converter 65 to be converted into an output video signal 66. Thus, an image with a rapid motion can secure the same degree of image quality as that of an image with less movement and the dynamic image is reproduced with a high image quality or for a long time.</p> |
