PURPOSE:To reduce the cost by minimizing divided recording regardless of provision of a recording buffer whose storage capacity is smaller than that equivalent to a maximum length of recording paper. CONSTITUTION:When a storage capacity (=B) of a recording buffer 7 is smaller than a storage capacity A required to store a maximum line number of one page fed from an external device usually, input data with a specified line length C being compressed data by one page are decoded and stored in the recording buffer 7. When the the line length of the input data exceeds the specified line length C, the data are decoded while being interleaved and stored in the recording buffer 7. Then the decoded data are recorded depending on a size of recording paper set to the device. Thus, division recording is minimized as required regardless of the provision of the buffer 7 with a smaller storage capacity. |
