PURPOSE:To provide a digital copying machine constituted so that the reference direction of an input image is recognized and an image forming action with high reliability is executed. CONSTITUTION:The digital copying machine is provided with an image direction detection means 340 detecting the direction of the image read by a read means 100 based on an instruction from an operation part 310 and a control means 320 deciding whether the direction of the image is correct or not and displaying an alarm. When the direction of the image is not correct, the alarm is issued to a user so as to correct the direction of the image. |
