PURPOSE: To provide a method for generating and adding video pixel data for preventing the flicker of spatial optical modulation display caused by ordinary skip scan for 30 fields per second. CONSTITUTION: A pixel processor 16 is provided with a field buffer circuit 36 for storing the plural fields of input video pixel data, and a feature detector 38 and a pixel generator 40 are connected to this circuit. Based on the field of input video pixel data, the feature detector 38 generates feature amplitude signals more than one. The pixel generator 40 is provided with logic circuits more than two for generating intermediate pixel data values more than two based on the input pixel data. A feature analyzer 42 for selecting feature weight corresponding to each intermediate pixel data value is connected to the feature detector 38. A pixel average device 44 for generating output pixel data based on the weight average of this intermediate pixel data value is connected to the feature analyzer 42 and the pixel generator 40. |
