The method includes sharing the service provider bandwidth (BWP) with a passband (BWU) assigned to each user. Parameters defining each user traffic profile are evaluated and a traffic profile message is sent between users. Information transfer priority is given to users with an constant communication traffic profile. Other users with sporadic bit rates are served after high priority users with bandwidth allocated as requested. Transmission by a low priority user can be interrupted at any time.
