PURPOSE:To provide an alloy electrode for an alkaline storage battery which has large high rate discharge capacity density as well as low rate discharge capacity density by partly sintering hydrogen storage alloy powder composed of spheroidal particle or the like and using it for an electrode material as partly hydrogen storage alloy powder of specific bulk density. CONSTITUTION:Spheroidal hydrogen storage alloy particles and substantially spheroidal hydrogen storage alloy particles and egg shaped hydrogen storage alloy particles or hydrogen storage alloy powder comprises mixed matter of more than two kinds of these particles are heat processed and partly sintered and then cracked as needed and partly sintered into 3.3 or more of bulk density, preferably of 3.5 or more and this is used as the electrode material. Whereby, a hydrogen storage alloy electrode for a metal-hydride alkaline storage battery having improved charge-discharge cycle characteristic can be provided. |
