<p>PURPOSE:To prevent lowering in the electrical resistance of an arc generating switch as well as the occurrence of improper insulation and by forming metal or the like into an insulator via insulation function imparting gases generated from a gas generation source compound. CONSTITUTION:Arc 8 is generated between a moving contact 4 and a stationary contact 5, when the contacts 4 and 5 are caused to part from each other via the upward motion of the contact 3, after kept in contact with each other via the downward motion of the contact 3. As a result, the contacts 4 and 5, or metal in the vicinity is heated with the arc 8, and metal or the like splashes. At the same time, a compact 1 is heated with the arc 8, thereby generating insulation function imparting gases. In this case, the cause the metal or the like to be formed into an insulator.</p> |
