<p>PURPOSE:To provide a sensor in which the detection sensitivity of an electric field is high, whose shape is small and which is easy to handle. CONSTITUTION:An electric-field sensor is provided with a board 1, with an incident-and-radiant optical waveguide 15 which is formed on the board, which receives incident light and which radiates radiant light, with a first phase-shift optical waveguide and a second phase-shift optical waveguide 4 which are formed on the board 2 in such a way that one end of them is coupled respectively to the waveguide and whose refractive index is changed according to the strength of an applied electric field, with a light reflector 1 7 which is formed at the other end of them and which reflects light from the phase-shift optical waveguides 4 and with a plurality of split electrodes 16 which are formed on or near the phase-shift optical waveguides 4 so as to be split in the advance direction of light and which are capacitively coupled.</p> |
