A cavity wall socket has a cylindrical side wall 12. In the base 11 near the wall there is a stub pipe 14 for the cabling. A variety of pipes can be inserted from the inside into a hole in the base. They are clipped into position by catches on the base and/or side wall. The pipe has a flange 15 and a tapered rib 17 which fix it in the base without the need for further catches. The catch arrangements use a spring tag on the side wall pointing towards the base. Alternatively a groove in the wall is used, in which rests an inwards extension to the tube, pressing on the end of the groove. |
