PURPOSE:To obtain a radar apparatus by which a precise scan-correlation processing operation is realized by a simple constitution irrespective of a motion mode or a direction display mode. CONSTITUTION:A direction arithmetic part 3 always generates an angle signal in a north-up mode, and a control part 5 always generates a coordinate- transformation start address in a true-motion and north-up mode. A coordinate transformation part 4 writes the result of a scan correlation by an image processing part 8 into an image memory part 7 while performing a coordinate transformation in a true-motion and north-up mode on the basis of them. The control part 5 generates a readout start address according to a motion mode and a direction display mode in a readout operation, and a readout control part 6 generates a readout address by using the readout start address as a starting point. A horizontal-scanning memory part a stores an image which has been read out from the readout address in the image memory part 7 for one horizontal scanning period so as to be supplied to a display device.
