PURPOSE:To reduce the evaporation of an electrolyte and to suppress its consumption, by combining plural fuel cells, anode gas lines, a recycle line, and air feeding lines, in the condition to exercise a specific function. CONSTITUTION:This multistage reaction type fuel cell is provided with plural fuel cells 20a, 20b, and 20c to generate the power by using an anode gas 2 including hydrogen, and a cathode gas 3 including oxygen; anode gas lines 24a ans 24b, and cathode gas lines 25a and 25b, which combine the anodes and the cathodes of the plural fuel cells 20a, 20b, and 20c in series respectively; a recycle line 26 to recirculate the cathode gas (the cathode exhaust gas) passing through the fuel cell 20c at the lowermost downstream side, to a cathode inlet side at the uppermost upstream side; and air feeding lines 27a and 27b to feed a low temperature air to the cathode gas lines 25a and 25b between fuel cells. |
