PURPOSE:To easily judge whether an opposite party is one for which an operator needs to be conscious of a camera by displaying the picture of a communication request source on a communication request destination and easily judging whether or not the operator himself is viewed by someone. CONSTITUTION:In the example of a TV conference system constituted by six stations, the picture of the other station which the respective stations desire is inserted into an area left above a screen divided into four areas, and the pictures of the other stations desiring the pictures of the respective stations at present are inserted into the other three areas. Then, they are transmitted to the respective stations. When the picture of a station A is requested from a station F to an inter-multi-point TV conference communication controller 34, a system control part 313 in the inter-multi- point TV conference controller 304 instructs a picture control part 312 to insert the received picture of the station A into the area left above the picture transmitted to the station F through a communication control part 312. When the other station requesting the picture of the station F exists, the system control part 313 instructs the control part 312 to insert the picture of the station into the area left above the picture transmitted to the station F. |
