The plug (1) comprises a screw cap (10) which seals the neck (3) of a bottle (2). An annular security ring (20) is connected to the cap by several breakable links (22). The bottom of the security ring (25) has several pivoted tongues (30) which are folded against the internal face of the ring. The face of the free end of each tongue abuts against and is supported by the lower face (8) of the neck ring. The tongue external face opposite to the internal face folded against the internal face (23) of the security ring has a reinforcing rib (50). The reinforcing rib fits the shape of a truncated cone whose apex is directed towards the connecting zone of the tongue and the security ring.
