The refractory nozzle for pouring molten metal from a vessel includes a wear-resistant core (6) with an outlet opening (7), and an enveloping shell (8) which can be heated up inductively from a room temperature. The shell (8) is moulded and sealed on the pre-produced core (6). The nozzle is housed in an inductor (3) built into the bottom of a melt distribution vessel (1). To free the outlet, the inductor is switched on so that the shell (8) and the core (6) are heated up, and the inserted or frozen-in metal plug (10) is melted.
