A supply valve for washing machines or dishwashers has two blocking elements (18,20) located one after the other. Each blocking element (18,20) is connected with a first piston (58), which can be shifted to a second piston (60). The invention features a safety membrane (72) which provides for a sealing closure between the first (58) and second (60) piston in normal operation. In the event of a disturbance, the closure is lifted permanently and, as a result, no pressure build-up can occur during renewed start-up.
