The framework (10) serves to provide a screening function of a printed circuit board (17) of an electronic system that is mounted within the framework (10). The framework is in the form of plates that have a pressing operation carried out to form L shaped brackets (12). The circuit board has holes that locate onto the brackets and project through. The brackets are of the same thickness as the framework and a clearance (28) is provided on the underside. An electrical connection and a secure fixing is provided by soldering (20).
