ABNORMAL TOOL RESTORING APPARATUS

An abnormal tool restoring apparatus is formed by providing the same with a teaching point storage means for storing teaching points taught in advance and defining working lines for a tool with respect to a work so that the tool passes the working lines sequentially, and a teaching point to which a tool on these teaching points can be retracted from the work; a means for detecting the occurrence of abnormality of a tool on the working line with respect to the work; and a control means for carrying a control operation so that the tool the occurrence of abnormality of which has been detected by the tool abnormality detecting means is retracted from an abnormality occurrence point to a nearest teaching point to which the tool can be retracted, on the basis of the teaching points stored in the teaching point storage means, by reversing the same tool along a path of the working line for the tool with respect to the work which the tool has already passed, whereby the tool is retracted from the work, and so that a replaced or repaired tool is then advanced up to the point of occurrence of abnormality along the path of the abnormal tool retracted from the work.
