PURPOSE:To improve the mounting performance, assembly performance, and the layout performance by arranging at least a proportioning valve on the bottom surface of a hydraulic box and arranging the proportioning valve so that the brake liquid flows upwardly. CONSTITUTION:In a main brake flow passage I for connecting a master cylinder 10 and the wheel cylinders 11 for the left and right front wheels 14 and 15, an inlet valve 21 is interposed. Futher, in a main brake flow passage II for connecting the master cylinder 10 and the wheel cylinders 11 for the left and right rear wheels 12 and 13, a proportioning valve 24 and a traction valve 23 are interposed. Further, in a return flow passage 40, an outlet valve 22, auxiliary resevoir 31, and a damping chamber 26 are interposed. In this case, the traction valve 23, etc., are arranged on the side surface of a hydraulic box. Further, the damping chamber 26, etc., are arranged on the bottom surface of the hydraulic box, the proportioning valve 23 is arranged so that the brake liquid flows upwardly.
