PURPOSE:To obtain a seasoning, containing a glutinous rice starch and/or a waxy corn starch thereto, having a moderate viscosity and softness and capable of finishing a processed food of cooked rice puffy by carrying out the cooking treatment of rice, adding the seasoning to the resultant cooked rice and further thermally cooking the rice. CONSTITUTION:The seasoning for a processed food of cooked rice is obtained by adding a glutinous rice starch and/or a waxy corn starch to a seasoning containing common salt, a tasty seasoning, a spice, etc., as seasoning materials. The glutinous rice and/or waxy corn starch in an amount of about 0.5-8.0wt.% based on the cooked rice are added to improve the texture and suppress the cracking of rice grains. |
