<p>The skate has a shoe (3) with a quarter (4) which surrounds the rear of the users leg. The quarter is articulated to a shell (5), the shell being associated to a frame (6) or supporting a set of wheels. The frame has a cross section shaped like an inverted U. A traction element (9), which is preferably a cable, connects the quarter (4) to a braking element (17) which is moved into ground contact when the quarter is tilted. Springs (24) return the braking element to its original position once tilting of the quarter has ended.</p> |
