CAP MEMBER, INK JET CARTRIDGE HAVING THE SAME, INK JET RECORDING APPARATUS AND DATA PROCESSING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To prevent the irregularity of an image caused by the clogging of an emitting orifice by providing the emitting and hermetically sealing means airtightly engaged with the surface having emitting orifices of a recording head and usable as the cap member head restoration means. CONSTITUTION:The film like member 5026 attached to the side end of the head of a support member 5016 is brought into close contact with an orifice plate 400 under pressure to seal the emitting orifices of the orifice plate 400. An ink jet cartridge IJC of which the recording head is capped with a cap means consisting of a cap 5022 and the support member 5016 is mounted on a carriage HC and the boss 5030 provided to the support member 5016 is inserted and fitted in the slot 5035 of the protruding part 5034 of a rotary member 5033 under pressure through the slot of a holding member 5015 by operation positioning the ink jet head cartridge IJC by a hook 4001. When the lever 5036 of the rotary member 5033 is rotated, the boss 5030 moves while slides to be detached from the fitting with parallel grooves 5024,3001 and the cap means is detached.
