<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a pigment dispersant having extremely good dispersing capacity with respect to a wide range of pigment by reacting a polyallylamine with a carboxyl group terminal polyester compd. containing a unit formed by the ring opening of a lactone compd. as an esential component. CONSTITUTION:A pigment dispersant is obtained by reacting polyallylamine represented by formula II with a carboxyl group terminal polyester compd. containing a unit formed by the ring opening of a lactone compd. represented by formula I [wherein (l) and (m) are 0-10, (n) is an integer of 0-10 and R<2> and R<3> are H or a 1-10C aliphatic alkyl group] as an essential component. The amine value of the synthesized dispersant is 10-200mgKOH/g. The average mol.wt. of the polyester compd. contained in the dispersant is 100-5000 and the mol.wt. of polyallylamine is 100-100000.</p> |
