<p>PURPOSE:To enable the feeding of sheets without the generation of double feed by supporting the rear end parts of partial sheets out of sheets to be stacked by a sheet supporting means positioned over a sheet stacking means. CONSTITUTION:In the case of sheets carried into a sheet stacking means 5 being the specified quantity or less, a sheet supporting means 4a is positioned in a retreat position, and the whole of the sheets is stacked on the sheet stacking means 5. When the carried-in sheets exceed the specified quantity, the sheet supporting means 4a moves into an operating position from the reteat position, and the rear end parts of the sheets carried in by a sheet carry-in means 108 are stacked on the sheet supporting means 4a. At the time of feeding the sheets, the rear end parts of the sheets are supported by the sheet supporting means 4a, so that the weight of a sheet sheaf is reduced to ensure the separative conveyance of one sheet in the lowest position, and air flowing between the lowest sheet and the upper side sheet reaches the rear end part, so that the lowest sheet is separated and fed without the generation of double feed.</p> |
