PURPOSE:To provide a fitting opener for a slide fastener, by which a box body can be easily set on a fastener stringer sewn down to an objective and which is durable and small in size. CONSTITUTION:This fitting opener comprises four members, a box body 21, a box rod 22, a butterfly rod 23 and a inserting stopper 24. An inserting hole 32 is set on the side wall of the box body 21, and an engaging ditch is formed on both top and bottom faces of the inserting hole 32 to engage with the engaging protrusion 34 of the inserting stopper 24. An engaging part is set on a central partition 27 to engage with a locking part of the box rod 22. A dent 37 is set on the box rod 22 to engage with the tip part of the inserting stopper 24. The connection between the box body 21 and the box rod 22 is made by engaging the inserting stopper 24 with the dent 37 and engaging the engaging part and the locking part to obtain a firm connection since the inserting stopper 21 cannot released from the inserting hole 32. Since the box body 21 can be set after sewn down the fastener stringers 28, 29 to the objective, it does not disturb sewing and the seam is beautifully finished. |
