The cover comprises a rigid frame structure which fits around the play area (1) and has an axle (4) of large cross-section at each end for a pivoted polygonal-section play shape (3). The play shapes can be folded inwards to cover the whole of the play area, or can be opened outwards to uncover it. In the closed position the cover can measure, for example, 4 m long by 2 m wide by 1.60 m high.
