Integrated active and passive suspension control for motor vehicle
摘要
The suspension for each wheel has a main strut and a hydraulic strut (1) with the latter having variable characteristics to alter the ride characteristics of the vehicle and to adjust the suspension w.r.t. static loading. The hydraulic strut is connected to a master cylinder (4,5) braced by a mechanical spring (17) via a variable fulcrum mechanical linkage (8,9) adjusted by the suspension control. The position and movement of the suspension is monitored by sensors (19) connected to the processor control. A simple servo drive (10) moves the fulcrum and alters the mechanical support of the Breville (RTM) springs (17) on the master cylinder. The suspension is corrected for static loading as well as for dynamic loading e.g during braking.
