<p>An assembly for driving motor wheels and method of making the same including providing a plurality of radially distributed permanent magnets (22) on a fixed axle (5) to form a stator (2) supported by bearings (71) thereon, the magnets (22) being parallel to the axle (5); a brake element (8) controlling the stator's rotation; and a rotor (3) formed of induction winding coils (4) pivotally disposed around the stator (2), the rotor (3) and the stator (2) generating therebetween an induction field to drive the rotor (3) to rotate. When the rotor (3) rotates, the power generated is directly or indirectly transmitted via a reduction mechanism (6) to the hub to drive the motor wheel; the electric current is transmitted via conductive elements fixed on the axle (5) and an annular printed-circuit board (43) to the winding coils (4) of the rotor (3). <MATH></p> |
