PURPOSE:To suppress the formation of a hydrate causing background fog during preparation or at the time of preservation by adding 4,4'-thiobis-(6-t-butyl-3- methylphenol) as a hydration inhibitor of 4-hydroxy-4'-isopropoxydiphenylsulfone. CONSTITUTION:A 4-hydroxy-4'-isopropoxydiphenylsulfone coupler compsn. or dispersion containing 4,4'-thiobis-(6-t-butyl-3-methylphenol) as a hydration inhibitor is obtained. The content of 4,4'-thiobis-(6-t-butyl-3-methylphenol) may be set to an amt. preventing the hydration of 4-hydroxy-4'- isopropoxydiphenylsulfone but is pref. set to 0.01-1 pts.wt. With respect to the dispersion, 0.1-0.8 pts.wt. is more pref. in order to prevent the formation of a hydrate in the case of long-time preservation. |
