POWER CONVERTER

摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce the size of cooler while sharing the unit by arranging one phase of a converter for converting AC power into DC power and one phase of an inverter for converting DC power into AC power on a same cooler. CONSTITUTION:Main circuit units 9a-9c, 10 are constituted such that four phases are arranged on one cooler and three phases 7a-7c among four phases of a PWM converter are combined with PWM inverters 7e-7g. The one remaining phase 7d of the PWM converter is combined with an overvoltage protective circuit 8 to obtain a main circuit unit 10. Consequently, the power converter can be shared and the capacity of a cooler required for the power converter of a PWM converter/inverter electric vehicle can be reduced.
