<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for an inputting equipment such as a key or a mouse, and to miniaturize a device by transmitting a signal for changing display information to a display by a processor, in response to the detection of pressure on a case by a pressure sensor. SOLUTION: In an electronic device 10 being a portable or wrist mounting type computer called a personal digital assistant(PDA), a display 20 is integrated into a case 15, and soft key information 21-23 and data 24 and 25 being one part of the PDA, such as header information or telephone directory, are displayed. Then, when a text input is necessary, a larger keyboard is displayed on the display, and each key can be selected by, for example, moving a cursor 29 to a keyboard icon 22 and clicking a selection switch 31. Also, pressure sensors 51-54 detect pressures in X and Y directions of the case 15, and the processor changes the information 21-29 displayed on the display 20, in response to this pressure detection.</p> |
