The nozzles consist of two annular assemblies, one of convergent flaps (3,3a) and the other of divergent flaps (4,4a), having the upstream edges linked to the downstream edges of the convergent flaps. A series of jacks (2) are arranged at regular intervals around the output (1) of the channel and are linked to the appropriate points on the convergent flaps, in pairs, in order to pivot them relative to the output channel. A servo link also connects the jacks to the divergent flaps. The jacks are mounted on the annular outer edge of the output channel and are linked together by cross-braces (2f1 & 2f2), to form a solid, rigid structure, which is approximately polygonal in shape and co-axial; with the edge of the output channel. The upstream edges of the convergent flaps, and the linkage mechanism to the divergent flaps, are linked to this rigid structure, in preference to the jacks.
