METHOD FOR MUTUALLY ACCESSING BETWEEN PROCESSORS IN PARALLEL COMPUTER

PURPOSE:To enable a process of each processor in a parallel computer for operating plural parallel programs to mutually access the virtual space of a process in the other processor. CONSTITUTION:The parallel computer allocates an identifier for a parallel program as an identifier common to all shared areas included in respective processes being driven by parallel programs and each processor is provided with an area specification table 106 for storing the shared area information of respective processes included in its own processor. A request side processor 101 sets up the identifier and a called processor number respectively in an area specification register 104 and an PE number register, specifies the virtual address of data to be accessed and sends the identifier, the called processor number and the offset of a real address converted from the virtual address through a TLB to a replay side processor and the replay side processor converts the offset into a corresponding real address in its own processor based upon the contents of the area specification table and the identifier.
