PURPOSE:To provide a receiver with which wrong dealing with a received message can be surely prevented. CONSTITUTION:Its is judged whether the address of a call signal received through an antenna 11 to an RF receiving part 12 is an address for an individual or an address for a group by comparing it with the address data of an ID code stored in an ID-ROM 15 and based on this compared result, an expression pattern for the individual address or an expression pattern for the group address is read from an expression pattern table stored in a ROM 19 together with a basic pattern, and displayed on a display part 2 while being switched.
