<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a resolution conversion device for the binary image from which the problem point that characteristic texture is amplified in conversion of specific magnification and the problem point that the resolution decreases are removed. CONSTITUTION:An in-window black pixel addition part 11 counts the black pixels in a window of different window as to an aimed pixel. A gradation estimation part 12 outputs estimated gradation values corresponding to respective window sizes. A black pixel connection addition part 121 in an edge detection part 13 counts connections of black pixels in a window of maximum size and a horizontal and vertical white pixel line addition part 132 counts horizontal white pixel lines and vertical white pixel lines. On the basis of those counted values obtained by the edge detection part, a selector part 14 outputs whether or not there is an edge and a multi-valued estimated image when there is the edge. The multi-valued image which is thus obtained is converted in resolution by a multi-valued image resolution conversion part 20 and then binarized at a binarizing process part 30 by an error diffusing method.</p> |
