PURPOSE:To test a DC power supply section of an UPS with a function close to the charging/discharging function of a battery while allowing automation of the test. CONSTITUTION:The power supply for UPS test comprises a converter 11 providing an output to the DC section of an UPS1, an inverten 12 making a regenerative output from the DC section of the UPS1 to an AC power supply, and a control circuit 13 for controlling the converter 11 and the inverter according to an UPS test procedure for varying the UPS DC voltage VB. When an UPS power supply A is normally turned ON, the control circuit 13 controls the inverter to feed the charging current under the charging mode of an UPS battery according to a set program. The charging current through the inberter is regenerated on the AC power supply C side. When the UPS power supply is turned OFF, the converter is controlled to feed a discharge current under the discharge mode of the UPS battery thus feeding a charging current to the DC section of the UPS. Consequently, DC voltage of the UPS varies just like in the case where a battery is employed. |
