PROPAGATION PATH ESTIMATION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To estimate a propagation path characteristic in an excellent way even when a data transmission speed is fluctuated. CONSTITUTION:An approximate data number decision section 30 estimates the approximate number of data to minimize an estimate error by the least squares method based on a site display signal V2 indicating a data transmission rate. An estimate value calculation section 40 uses a correlation signal V1(i) by number of the decided approximated data and calculates a parameter of the approximated function by using the least squares method and calculates an estimate value V3(i) of the propagation path characteristic from the correlation signal V1(i) based on the approximated function having the parameter.
