The cutting tool consists of a body (2) which can be rotated about its axis (19) in either direction (14,15). It is equipped with blades which can tilt when the direction of rotation charges so as to position their cutting edges towards the direction of rotation. The tool has cutters (4) with cutting edges, mounted in the tool body so that they can tilt about an axis which is offset relative to the tool's axis of rotation. Each cutter is set in a recess with a base and sides forming stops, shaped to the dimensions of the cutter. The base of the recess is cylindrical, with its concave side facing towards the interior of the cutter, which has a similar outer surface.
