The invention concerns a method of preparing on the tool (34) of a machine at least one insert label (29) which can be inserted in a mould half (36, 46, 47) of the tool (34) of a plastics processing machine, in particular an injection moulding machine (2, 45) or deep-drawing machine. In this method, insert labels (29) are stamped out of label strip material (22) by a stamping device (1) substantially comprising a stamping plate (17) and a cutting tool (19). These insert labels (29) are conveyed by a carrier, which is associated with the stamping device (1), to the tool (34) of the machine (2, 45) and delivered for insertion in the tool. Hitherto, it was very difficult to transfer the insert labels (29) with sufficient precision and position them without creases. This difficulty is overcome in that, after being stamped, the insert label (29) is held and conveyed to the tool (34) of the machine (2, 45) by the stamping plate (17), which is in the form of a carrier and can be displaced substantially transversely to the stamping direction. The present invention further concerns a device for carrying out the method. |
