PURPOSE:To suppress the corrosion of a combustion chamber, an evacuation passage and a lubricating part by using plural catalysts capable of removing at least one kind of a malodor component among malodor components in accordance with the kinds of the malodor components to remove the malodor components before a gaseous fuel containing at least two kinds of the malodor components is introduced into a gas engine. CONSTITUTION:The malodor components are removed by using the plural catalysts (e.g. Cu-H ion exchange zeolite-based catalyst, Mn oxide-ceramic- -based catalyst) capable of removing at least one kind of the malodor component among the components in accordance with the kinds of the malodor components before the gaseous fuel containing at least two kinds of malodor components (e.g. mercaptanes, linear sulfides) is introduced into the gas engine. As a result, the formation of oxides in the gas engine is prevented, the corrosion of the combustion chamber, the evacuation passage and the lubricating part is suppressed and the durability of the engine is improved. |
